This weekend, I attended a charity event, hosted by Zach Braff, benefiting Mission Brain Foundation. They provide research and medical care for brain aneurysms. These little devils often go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. It was a truly inspiring event. One young women spoke of her experience, which started with her leaving work and making a 20 minute drive home with “the worst headache ever”. She passed out later that day and later found out she had an aneurysm and bleeding in her brain. With the help of Dr. Lawton and the Mission Brain Foundation, she was able to make a full recovery! What I wore: this was a black tie event, so I decided to go with a floor length gown. I love the floral pattern on this one! I sorted through so many plain, somber, black dresses while I was on the hunt for a dress. Now, there’s nothing wrong with a black dress every now and then, but I wanted something a little more fun. I paired it with shoes I call my Cinderella Manolos, which I was surprisingly able to wear all night without too much discomfort. There’s nothing tackier than seeing ladies in formal wear barefoot carrying their shoes!
