A well curated closet is the key to getting dressed. There are closet staples every woman needs. You can mix and match, combining staples with other pieces as trends and seasons change. This week, I’m sharing my favorite standard priced items. Stay tuned for next week’s continuation, featuring luxury closet staples.
A white t-shirt: I love a high quality, soft t-shirt. It can be worn with jeans, a skirt, under a sweater or even a slip dress.
A good pair of jeans: These jeans should flatter and fit well. There’s nothing like a confidence boost you get from wearing your favorite pair of jeans.
A button down shirt: Another classic that can be dressed up or down for a variety of occasions.
A faux leather skirt: Leather (or faux leather) is a timeless textile that has a luxurious look. Like the other classics, this is a piece you’ll get a lot of use out of.
A pair of neutral boots: These can be worn with skirts, dresses or pants. A classic silhouette and a neutral color will keep them in heavy rotation.
A slip dress: This can be worn on its own for dressy occasions, or made more casual by combining it with a sweater or t-shirt.
A black trench coat: Unless you live in the tropics, everyone needs at least 1 good coat.
The LBD: This is probably the queen of wardrobe staples. You’ll be so thankful for this piece, especially when those last minute invites arise. With this in your arsenal, you’ll never be stuck with noting to wear to a party or dinner!
A denim jacket: It adds instant polish to so many outfits. It’s also a great light jacket for layering during those in between weather kinds of days.
A comfy sweater: I love a comfy sweater on those cold days when you don’t feel like leaving the house, but have to. This is yet another versatile piece that can be worn casually with jeans, or dressed up as desired.
I hope you enjoyed my list! What are your favorite closet staples?
