Not, really…

I recently tried the Derek Lam 10 Crosby fragrance set. You guys know I love to try out anything in a set! I had seen these full sized fragrances, and wondered, are they worth $95? The first 5 are lighter, more floral/fruity, white musk scents. The other 5 are stronger, more spicy/woodsy scents. The contrast between the 2 groups reminds me of Elizabeth and James Nirvana White/Black.

Fragrances are a highly subjective thing, and therefore hard to review.

My personal preference in scent leans toward the first 5. Although they were nice, in my opinion they weren’t anything all that different or special, than many other fragrances on the market. The packaging is fun, and is even nicer in the full sized version. The cool thing about the set is that you can mix and match, making them a little more unique. The other issue I had with these is their lack of staying power, I really expected more, prior the trying them.

My personal favorite is Looking Glass, a scent Derek Lam says was inspired by a woman checking her reflection in a storefront window. It’s a light floral with a touch of vanilla. Drunk on Youth was my second favorite, but it just faded way too quickly.
